What we do for you
We use only the cookies and storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your basket.
What to know
There are no tracking or advertising cookies. Analytics are optional and run only if you opt in.
What we commit to
We ask before using anything optional, and you can change your mind at any time.
What we store and why
We keep our use of cookies and storage to a strict minimum:
| Name | Type | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | Cookie | Essential | Keeps you signed in (Supabase auth session) | Session / refresh cycle |
| hometrolley-cart-v2 | localStorage | Essential | Remembers your shopping basket across page loads | Until cleared |
| hometrolley-consent-v1 | localStorage | Essential | Stores your cookie preference so we don't ask again | Until cleared; we ask again after 12 months |
| Vercel Web Analytics | None (cookieless) | Optional | Anonymous page-view counts. Only loads if you opt in. | No cookie stored |
| Vercel Speed Insights | None (cookieless) | Optional | Anonymous page-load timings. Only loads if you opt in. | No cookie stored |
Essential vs optional
Essential cookies and storage are strictly necessary for the site to work — authentication and your basket. You cannot opt out of these while using the service.
Optional storage (analytics) is only enabled with your explicit consent. We use Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous page-view counts and Vercel Speed Insights for anonymous page-load timings, and both only run if you have opted in.
Managing your preferences
You can change or withdraw your cookie preference at any time using the link here or in the footer of every page. We also ask again if our use of optional storage changes, and at least once every 12 months.
You can also control or delete cookies directly in your browser settings:
- Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari — Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
Note: blocking the essential auth cookie will prevent you from signing in.
